In 2017 Wheaton College in Massachusetts established the Wheaton Refugee Scholarship to further their commitment of improving the world through new ideas and educational opportunities. The institution aims to foster a global community of scholars that represents the widest possible range of viewpoints, especially the perspectives of students fleeing persecution and conflict in their home countries.
