Level of Funding
These PhD scholarships support highly qualified junior academics from the historical sciences with excellent academic standing and brilliant examination results who show unusual promise for their doctoral theses. Applications can be submitted at any time, independent of the candidate's nationality or place of work. Scholarship holders receive a monthly base amount of EUR 1,400. There are additional benefits, such as allowances for accompanying children or, i.e., to cover printing costs, if necessary. Please note that income from employment and scholarship income are mutually exclusive. The funding will be awarded over a period of two years.
